About the role:

Victoria Police Recruiting Services Branch are responsible for the ongoing recruitment of Sworn Police and Protective Services Officers into Victoria Police.

As the successful applicant you will assist in receiving, processing and assessing applications for employment with Victoria Police by applying rules and standards in accordance with approved and established recruitment policies and procedures.

  • VPSG-2 range $56,834 - $72,985 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • 1x full time ongoing and 2x fixed term positions available
  • Working within the Recruiting Services Branch, Recruitment and Deployment Division, located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands

Your duties will include:

  • Day to day administrative tasks as required
  • Reviewing and assessing applications
  • Vetting of documents
  • Drafting reports with recommendations
  • Dealing with applicant enquires and providing advice on process
  • Maintaining systems and databases

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated office support experience with the ability to effectively perform and coordinate administrative and customer service tasks.
  • Proven ability to respond flexibly to client needs, providing advice and solutions in a polite and considerable manner.
  • Well-developed data entry skills with experience in the maintenance of comprehensive records (manual and computerised) and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively in a team.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
