Position Details

About the role:

The Transfer and Promotion Unit convene Victoria Police member (sworn) selection processes from the rank of Constable/Senior Constable through to Commander, servicing all Regions, Departments and Commands. The Personnel Officers within the Recruitment Support Team are the central point of information exchange for sworn police members applying for promotion or transfer and provide administration support for the end-to-end selection processes.

Your duties will include:

  • Provide advice and assistance to applicants and hiring managers
  • Compile all documentation required for selection processes
  • Conduct qualification checks on applications
  • Processing of shortlisting and appointments to ensure all promotions and transfers are published in the Gazette accurately
  • Provide administrative assistance to Recruitment Consultants

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Ability to work within a team environment to achieve team deadlines

Requirements and relevant information:

  • FTE 1.0, ongoing position available.
  • FTE 1.0, fixed term until 1 October 2024 position available.
  • FTE 1.0, fixed term until 10 December 2024 position available.
  • FTE 0.5, part time, fixed term until 17 March 2024 position available.
  • Positions will be located at Victoria Police Centre. 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
