About the role:

Victoria Police is currently advertising one (1) Administrative/Property Officer position within Southern Metro Region (SMR), Division Three. Covering the largest population within SMR this is one of the most ethnically diverse divisions within Victoria. This role is working within the Cardinia Police Service Area (PSA) located at the Pakenham Police Station. We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and self-driven applicant to undertake day-to-day administrative/property management duties as part of a driven team, servicing five police stations under Cardinia PSA. The position will require you to provide support to internal staff and management as well as interacting with internal and external stakeholders relevant to Victoria Police.

Your duties will include:

  • Attend enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, provide initial information and advice as required.
  • Receive, record, and distribute mail and correspondence as required.
  • Be actively involved in providing daily administrative/property support within a busy police complex.
  • Provide general office support tasks including the operation and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Undertake the preparation, maintenance, and management of various confidential records and registers which can be manual and electronic.

About You:

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: 

  • Experience in working with computers and systems to perform a range of administrative tasks including, records management, data entry and word processing tasks.
  • Must have the ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently.
  • Prioritisation skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Be adaptable to change.
  • Demonstrate integrity particularly in relation to handling confidential material.

Further Information:

  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at Pakenham Police Station, 780 Princes Highway, Pakenham. However, you may be expected to work out of any location within Southern Division Three, as required.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
