Position Details

About the role:

As the successful applicant your role will be as an Administrative/Property Officer within Southern Metropolitan Region, Division Three. Division Three comprises the largest population within the region. One of the most ethnically diverse divisions within Victoria, housing nine police stations spanning across three Local Government Areas, the division employs over 1,000 Police. 

We are offering one (1) full-time, ongoing position within Division Three. This position will require you to undertake duties associated with the day-to-day service delivery of the Cranbourne Police Station, providing administrative and property management support.

Your duties will include:

  • Perform a variety of computerised activities including data entry, typing and word processing.
  • Attend enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, provide initial information and advice as required.
  • Receive, record, and distribute mail and correspondence as required.
  • Be actively involved in providing daily administrative/property support within a busy police complex.
  • Provide general office support tasks including the operation and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Undertake the preparation, maintenance, and management of various confidential records and registers which can be manual and electronic.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and systems to perform a range of administrative tasks including, records management, data entry and word processing tasks.
  • Must have the ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently.
  • Prioritisation skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Be adaptable to change.
  • Demonstrate integrity, particularly in relation to handling confidential material.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position will be located at Cranbourne Police Station, 168 Sladen Street, Cranbourne, VIC, 3977.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
