Position Details
About the role:
The Case Manager role is positioned in the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Unit of the Capability Division. Reporting to a Sergeant, you will be responsible for the coordination of CVE intervention through a holistic approach to ensure service delivery is met. As a Case Manager you will be required to liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery is maintained.
The Case Manager position is housed within the CVE Unit, which aims to reduce the risk of individuals becoming or remaining violent extremists and to address the social impacts of violent extremism by undertaking the following activities:
- Establish a coordinated intervention structure that can best identify and support individuals deemed at risk of radicalisation to violent extremism,
- Build the resilience of communities to violent extremism,
- Support the diversion of individuals at risk of becoming violent extremists when possible,
- Rehabilitate and reintegrate violent extremists when possible,
- Enhance the capacity of Government and non-Government agencies to support and deliver CVE identification and intervention activities,
- Develop and maintain highly coordinated prevention, preparedness and response arrangements in relation to threats and acts of terrorism in Victoria, and
- Develop programs to prevent terrorism and counter violent extremism in Victoria and lead Victoria Police's agenda and participation in national and international counter terrorism forums.

Your duties will include:
- Coordinate the service delivery of tailored intervention plans with a range of internal and external stakeholders,
- Provide high-level customer service and attend to enquiries from a range of stakeholders,
- Prepare reports, including progress reports and case notes, analysis papers, briefing notes, project proposals, correspondence and submissions for a range of stakeholders within Counter Terrorism Command,
- Participate on a range of projects including the analysis and assessment of issues and the development of intervention options using appropriate research techniques and methodologies,
- Provide information, research, advice and consultation services to internal projects, and
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Division, including diary and correspondence management.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Proven experience to undertake complex research in support of projects (including projects involving case management), strategies or business case development.
- Proven ability to provide advice to senior management on issues of policy, practice and strategy.
- Highly developed communication skills with an ability to manage a range of stakeholders.
- A relevant qualification is desirable.
Requirements and relevant information:
- Two (2) x full-time, fixed-term positions available until 30 June 2025.
- Positions are located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
