About the role:

Victoria Police is seeking a Change Manager with experience leading enterprise change initiatives to join the new WorkCover Taskforce, aimed at preventing and responding to work related injuries. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Change and Communications Lead for the Taskforce will be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of change, engagement and communication strategies, plans and activities to ensure project outcomes are achieved. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced change manager who can demonstrate a varied skill set with an ability to manage competing demands, prioritise and meet deadlines and work in a dynamic environment.

The WorkCover Taskforce includes a Tasking and Coordination unit and six Multi-Disciplinary Teams to support our employees in prevention, early intervention, and recovery of mental health related injuries. As we embark on an exciting period of growth, this role will be critical in developing strategies to increase workforce awareness and buy in on the key benefits and outcomes of the program.

Your duties will include:

  • Apply change management methodology and tools to develop strategies and plans to ensure successful adoption of change.
  • Provide strategic subject matter expertise in the area of organisational change to the Senior Project Manager and all Taskforce projects.
  • Provide high-quality integrated and strategic communication and engagement
  • Promote a positive change culture within the Organisation

  • Support the monitoring, evaluation and service design activities
  • Lead and/or participate in project governance and working groups
  • Build and maintain positive relationship with key stakeholders

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading change management projects and managing stakeholder communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare project briefs, reports and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly in a team environment and to contribute to change and business improvement programs
  • Strong project management skills with experience in coordinating project deliverables

 Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, 2-year fixed term position available.
  • VPS Grade 5: $103,920 to $125,735 plus superannuation.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception.
