An exciting opportunity exists for a Chief Finance Officer for the Department of Justice and Regulation.
The Finance, Infrastructure and Governance division oversees and leads the key public accountability requirements of the department including finance, procurement, performance reporting and risk, audit and integrity. The division also manages the governance and delivery of major infrastructure and information and communications technology (ICT) functions, including associated programs and projects, to the Portfolio.
Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, Finance, Infrastructure and Governance, the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is principally responsible for managing the annual budget, accounting, financial planning process and finance related risks for the department, and providing high level advice to Portfolio Ministers, the Secretary and senior executive on the financial management, performance and sustainability of the Portfolio and the department.
As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate:
- a strong background in accounting/finance
- significant Victorian Public Sector financial and budget management knowledge and experience
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
