The Department of Justice and Regulation (the department) delivers high quality services to Victorians and supports a safe, just, innovative and thriving Victoria.

The Finance, Infrastructure and Governance division manages the governance and delivery of major infrastructure projects and information and communications technology (ICT) functions, including associated programs and projects, and security management and assurance to the portfolio.

The department is seeking to appoint an outstanding and energetic leader to the position of CIO to lead the Knowledge, Information and Technology Services business unit which provides specialist information technology advice, policies, strategies, guidelines, operations and services, including telecommunications, to all business units in the department and a number of portfolio agencies.

Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, Finance, Infrastructure and Governance, the CIO is responsible for the delivery of the ICT function and will lead and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction in service delivery, business continuity and IT security. The CIO will be a member of a number of high level committees, contributing to overall strategic development of services, and representing the department in external forums and whole of government networks.

The ideal candidate will be a highly respected and accomplished CIO who has led and managed large ICT teams in complex service delivery environments. This position requires a proven leader who can drive continuous improvement and deliver next level ICT maturity and practices. Regarded as a lateral and strategic thinker, the CIO will be articulate, confident and have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
