This role is available with Jurisdiction Services, which provides administrative and corporate services expertise to Victoria’s courts and tribunals. Position Details

This role operates within the Information Technology Services area, which is part of Jurisdiction Services (JS), CSV. JS provides support to all Victorian courts and tribunals to assist in the delivery of justice services. JS is responsible for providing courts and tribunals with a range of corporate support functions including human resources, finance, facilities, asset and contract management, planning and administration, business intelligence, communications, business review and improvement, technology and transcription services. 

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides a comprehensive range of IT services including mobility, network services, software support, court services support, in-court technologies, IT vendor management, business analysis, procurement, transcription services, telephony and communications support. In its ‘day to day’ operations the function will aim to ensure courts are properly supported in their day-to-day work and service to the community. 

The main focus of this role is to maintain, develop and troubleshoot the CSV owned and shared middleware and interface environment to ensure service continuity.  The role also involves being the single point of management for all interfaces in and out of CSV to ensure that agreed service levels are maintained. 

As our ideal candidate, you will have at least five years performing a technical administration or analyst role.  with experience in;

- Level 2/3 support and administration of enterprise applications and associated systems

- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis

- Windows and Unix systems administration (Physical and Virtual)

- J2EE application server configuration and administration (IBM WebSphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat)

- Webserver administration (IIS and Apache)

- MS Azure administration

- Monitoring tools (Nagios)


You will have the ability to self-manage and deal with competing priorities in a large scale, distributed support environment. You will have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working with a collaborative and supportive team. 

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent and ITIL are highly desirable. Experience in Victorian Government is highly desirable.
