Application Support Analyst

This role operates within the Information Technology Services area, which is part of Jurisdiction Services (JS), CSV. JS provides support to all Victorian courts and tribunals to assist in the delivery of justice services. JS is responsible for providing courts and tribunals with a range of corporate support functions including human resources, finance, facilities, asset and contract management, planning and administration, business intelligence, communications, business review and improvement, technology and transcription services.

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides a comprehensive range of IT services including mobility, network services, software support, court services support, in-court technologies, IT vendor management, business analysis, procurement, transcription services, telephony and communications support. In its ‘day to day' operations the function will aim to ensure courts are properly supported in their day-to-day work and service to the community.

The main responsibilities in this role include providing support to stakeholders both internal and external on the use of a case management system, investigation and resolution of issues, system modifications, updating documentation and defining enhancements. The role also involves close collaboration with other members within the ITS service delivery team including Developers, Network Support and Database Administrators.

To be successful in this role, your skills and experience should include:

  •  knowledge of case management systems
  • demonstrated ability to provide advice and guidance to a diverse range of users including administrative staff, management and judicial officers
  • knowledge of business procedures and practices of Courts and Tribunals
  • ability to maintain support processes, resolve incidents, assist with the resolution of problems and maintain support documentation
  • requirements gathering and testing tasks for change requests, along with knowledge of the Magistrates' Court would also be beneficial
