Great opportunity for a strategic thinker with an interest in therapeutic justice to join the Judicial College of Victoria.

  • Lead the development and delivery of innovative and strategic education programs for judicial officers and multi-disciplinary teams in therapeutic justice settings.

The Judicial College of Victoria (the College) supports the Victorian judiciary to successfully meet the unique challenges of their roles through judicial education, research, and knowledge creation and dissemination.

About the Role

The Education Program Manager, Therapeutic Justice leads the development and delivery of education programs focussed on supporting judicial officers and multi-disciplinary teams in specialist courts or therapeutic justice settings as they deal with such challenging legal and social issues as family violence, drug and alcohol abuse and youth justice.

The work of the Education Program Manager is central to building knowledgeable and highly skilled court-based teams comprising of judicial officers, court staff, lawyers, members of Victoria Police and Corrections, clinical advisers, case managers and housing support workers, among others.

The role involves some intrastate travel to conduct stakeholder engagement and program delivery in regional areas.

About you

You have an authentic interest in and strong working knowledge of the principles of therapeutic justice and specialist courts.

Your experience in the delivery of education projects and resources is complemented by the demonstrated capability to deliver successful and timely outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Crucial to your success will be your ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relationships with members of the judiciary and other stakeholders. Experience in engaging with experts in a wide range of fields and disciplines will be well regarded.
