Position Details

About the role:

The Transport Services Division team is seeking a motivated and hard-working individual who is looking to take on a new role in a unique environment.

Transport Services Division manages the Victoria Police vehicle fleet and field catering services to the Operational Departments.

The Administration Support Officer will provide a range of administrative and financial support functions specific to the Units within Transport Services Division.

Your duties will include:

  • Provide a range of administrative support functions.
  • Prepare and distribute fleet reports whilst maintaining the fleet database.
  • Process financial transactions, payable/receivable and general ledger transactions.
  • Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with departmental & regional Transport Officers.
  • Assist with IT related tasks
  • Attend to telephone and counter enquiries.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Ability to maintain systematic and accurate administrative records.
  • Excellent computer skills and proven experience with various software packages.  
  • Proven ability in the prioritisation of work with minimal supervision.  
  • Commitment and achievement in meeting a high level of customer service to all clients.  
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Finance experience desirable.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Two (2) x full-time, fixed term positions available until 30th June 2023 with the potential to extend.
  • The position will be located within the Transport Services Division at the Dawson St, Police Complex, 20 Dawson St, Brunswick 3056
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
