Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is part of the Department of Transport and is a statutory authority that acts as a system authority for all public transport and an advocate for public transport users. We are a single contact point for customers wanting information on public transport services, fares, tickets and initiatives. PTV aims to improve public transport in Victoria by ensuring better coordination between modes, facilitating expansions to the network, auditing public transport assets, promoting public transport as an alternative to the car.

Your new role
The Performance Analyst (NIMP) delivers high quality analysis, reporting and support to drive operational performance improvements of public transport services across Victoria. 

What you'll need to be successful

Essential (must have to be considered for the position)

  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking analysis, reviewing, testing interpreting and drawing inference from complex data and presenting results in a clear and comprehensible manner.
  • Developed understanding of information systems and the ability to develop and communicate specifications to meet both technical and business requirements.
  • An ability to manage and test large volume of data from multiple sources, draw inferences, and generate comprehensive reports, analyses and advice on operational performance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of computer-based systems and tools in an analysis environment, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI and SQL Server.
  • Able to draft reports and recommendations by interpreting and analyzing data.
  • Possess the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies that will anticipate potential problems and provide suitable workable solutions.
  • A tertiary qualification in an area such as Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology or a related field.
