Position Details

Manual Handling Trainer

 Open to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Allied Health Staff



The Manual Handling Trainer is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Safe Manual Handling training as required by staff at KDHS.

The Manual Handling Trainer will be responsible for

  • The development of innovative practices to improve staff and patient safety & quality
  • Assist the department managers and Clinical Nurse Educator with the planning, implementing and evaluating of policy and practices as required
  • Delivery of Safe Manual Handling competency based education programs.


The Manual Handling trainer will promote and facilitate Safe Manual Handling practices across departments and services.

KDHS will consider supporting suitable applicant(s) through the Bendigo Health Safe Manual Handling (SMH) Champion Education

This position reports to and works closely with the Clinical Nurse Educator
