Registered Nurse-Oncology 0.4EFT

9 weeks Long Service Leave cover ending 03/06/2018 with additional supernumery hours as required.

Option to remain on casual bank

  We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Cancer Services Team on a fixed term contract.  Supernumery hours are available depending on experienceand there is also an option of remaining on as a casual bank staff member.

As a key member of the Cancer Services Department you will be responsible for:

  • Overall care of patients during their stay, inclusive of Medical Oncology Clinic and Oncology Day Unit (as relevant)
  • Patient admission assessments, and ongoing supportive care during the patient stay.
  • Safe administration of chemotherapy and other medications to allocated patients.
  • Liaison with Medical Oncologists, General Practitioners, Pathology and Medical Imaging Providers Allied Health and Specialist Nursing staff for patient care and ongoing management.

 Previous experience within a similar role and/or completion of chemotherapy nursing course will be highly regarded.
