About the Role

  • Classification: Locally Engaged Staff (LES)
  • Salary Range: Starting from EUR 99,105
  • Work Location: Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) office, Frankfurt
  • Employment Type: 2-year contract

A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior professional with an extensive background in investment promotion and business development, together with a detailed understanding of the global business environment, in particular as it relates to Europe and Victoria, Australia, to join the Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) network.
Reporting to the Senior Investment Director in London, this position works closely with colleagues based in London, Israel, and the head office in Melbourne, Australia. The ability to work collaboratively is important as this position is responsible for the development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires someone who is proactive, flexible, and with excellent communication skills.

Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:

  • An extensive background and track record in investment promotion, business development, lead generation initiatives, and an ability to influence the decision-making processes of senior executives.
  • A comprehensive communicator with the ability to present to senior executives and conduct commercial/financial negotiations
  • Demonstrated and well-informed understanding of industry sectors including energy, transport infrastructure, technology, and life science in both Victoria and in Europe.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of global business environment (particularly as it relates to Europe) and the major motivations, incentives and challenges which impact investment attraction strategies to Victoria.

The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
