About the Role

• Employment Type: 2-year fixed term

Based in Mumbai India, the Investment Manager supports fast growing South Asian companies to expand into Victoria, Australia. The Investment Manager will have proven experience in technology, international business, and business development at CXO/executive level.

The role reports to the Director Investment – South Asia, based in Bangalore and works collaboratively with clients in India and colleagues in Melbourne, Australia. The Investment Manager will promote the state of Victoria's investment attraction efforts across the South Asia region, with a strong focus on securing projects that lead to jobs creation and innovation (R&D, university partnerships) across key industry sectors including - advanced manufacturing, agri-business, digital technologies, health technologies and medical research and circular economy/renewable energy.

Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will possess:

1. Demonstrable experience and a strong understanding of South Asia's business landscape, innovation ecosystems and decision making hierarchies.
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated experience with Australian business or work in an international environment will be highly regarded.
3. Ability to form and maintain CXO-level relationships in both corporate and government organisations.
4. Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, data confidentiality, and adherence to public sector governance frameworks in all engagements.
