An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with a background in coordinating high profile visits and events, undertaking thorough research, and delivering high‑level administrative support to join our team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations & Finance (Americas Region) and providing support directly to the Commissioner for the Americas based in New York, this position is responsible for office administration and assisting with financial and human resources functions of the VGTI offices located in New York, Boston and Washington DC, as well as providing support as required for the VGTI offices in San Francisco and Santiago. The role is also responsible for supporting ministerial visits, inbound/outbound delegations and social media management (photography/videography) for the trade and investment teams. The position requires proven organisational and project management skills, including experience with logistics, research and analysis.

Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will possess:

  1. Experience and demonstrated skills in office administration and capability in financial systems.
  2. Ability to manage (under direction) human resources functions including recruitment and on-boarding processes for new staff.
  3. Well-developed research and analytical skills.
  4. Experience in planning and coordinating the logistics of visits or events, including organising travel arrangements, meetings and presentations.

The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all applicable arrangements and costs in relation to visa, relocation, their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
