Position Details

The Customer Service Officer is responsible for all aspects of registering and licensing plumbers, including assisting practitioners make applications and processing registration renewals. The Customer Service Officer also provides information to the practitioners and consumers in relation to the registration and licensing system and Compliance Certificates.

1 X Ongoing role and 1 X Fixed-term role until 5 April 2019 available.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience in the provision of administrative and customer service support within a corporate or government environment to a high standard of competency.
  • A commitment to delivering high levels of customer service including the ability to be proactive in identifying customer requirements and establish and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across a wide range of stakeholders, to work through obstacles and remain calm under pressure.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to utilise set templates and follow processes and procedures, produce accurate work, and verbally communicate information in a clear manner.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment to meet business objectives, with minimal supervision.
  • Proven organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise, multi-task and deliver in a deadline driven environment.
  • Well-developed computing skills, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and use of databases.
  • Highly committed to working to high ethical standards and providing quality service delivery to stakeholders, with integrity and fairness.
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities for generating workplace innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and taking responsibility for initiating outcomes.
  • Experience in a government or statutory environment and the ability to interpret legislation and regulations is desirable.
