Position Details

Have impact in the Koori Family Violence Reform Program – Ongoing role - VPS Grade 5 - Melbourne Location.

The Koori Family Violence Unit has been established to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the court's response to Koori Family Violence. The Koori Family Violence program seeks to respond to the needs of Koori community members accessing the courts by providing:

  • an integrated and coordinated response to Koori FV matters (civil and criminal),
  • holistic and culturally appropriate responses for Koori victims and perpetrators of FV using the courts,
  • increased safety for victims, children and families,
  • greater awareness of avenues for support including access and referral to therapeutic interventions,
  • increased confidence for community members accessing court services and the justice system more broadly, and
  • the courts with increased knowledge and understanding of issues associated with FV within the Koori community.

The Senior Monitoring and Research Lead, is responsible for leading and supporting the monitoring, evaluation and research of Koori Family Violence initiatives including:

  • Designing effective monitoring and evaluation plans and frameworks.
  • Developing and maintaining quantitative and qualitative information/data collections that support evaluation and performance analysis activities, and
  • Building monitoring and evaluation skills and capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
