Position Details

Lead the specialist LGBTI Family Violence Practitioner Team - VPS 5 - Fixed term to November 2020 – Collingwood.

The LGBTI Family Violence Team Leader position will provide leadership to the LGBTI Family Violence Practitioner Team, with two direct reports including a specialist LGBTI Family violence Applicant Practitioner and a specialist LGBTI Family Violence Respondent Practitioner.  The Team will pilot an innovative service and support model for LGBTI communities, who are engaged in the Family Violence Court system as well establish appropriate referral pathways to behaviour change programs and support services.

The Team Leader position directly reports to the Senior Project Manager, Perpetrator Interventions Project.  The team is based at the Neighbourhood Justice Centre in Collingwood, with capacity to provide outreach and secondary consultation to other courts.  Specialist clinical supervision will be provided, in addition to professional and collegiate support provided through the Family Violence Branch and other Magistrate's Court of Victoria Team Leaders of court based practitioners.
