Position Details

The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be innovative, accessible and responsive, providing quality services to the Victorian community. 

Reporting to the Information Technology Coordinator and working closely with the MCV IT Team, the IT Project Officer will primarily be responsible for providing timely and high-quality project work from development to implementation. 

You will have: 

  • Knowledge of practices and procedures pertaining to the operations of the Magistrates' Court Victoria
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide IT support over the phone, in person and via remote access software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal staff with differing levels of ICT knowledge
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional PC Skills, including a high level of competence with MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the  organisational structure
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to both work well within a team and be self-sufficient
  • Self-motivated and inspiring to others
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality services and to improve outcomes
  • Demonstrated expertise in PC hardware, software and LAN/WAN facilities.
