Position Details

Provides case management support to people on bail with a range of complex needs, with a particular focus on supporting clients presenting with family violence related risks and needs.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic advanced case manager to be part of its Court Support Services team at Melbourne Magistrates' Court.

The role of the Advanced Family Violence Case Manager is to provide case management support to clients with complex support needs. This position has a particular focus on working with high risk family violence clients.

As an advanced practitioner within the team, you will also provide practice leadership and mentoring to other case managers in their work with clients with family violence related risks and needs.

We encourage you to apply if you possess the following:

  • Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology or equivalent discipline
  • Extensive experience in assessing and case managing clients with complex needs
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching staff
  • Detailed knowledge of the mental health and disability service systems and practice models for working with clients with complex mental health and/or disability support needs
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills and a flexible approach
