Come and work with us in Maddocks Gardens, a high-quality public sector residential aged care facility in Bairnsdale, which won the 2022 Excellence in Public Sector Aged Care Victorian Public Healthcare Awards for our work with residents who have dementia.
As a specialist aged care Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional nursing care to residents and their families within Maddocks Gardens, part of the Bairnsdale Regional Health Service, and in the largest city in the fast-growing East Gippsland region. You will assess residents' health and wellbeing, collaboratively develop and implement care plans with residents and their families, and collaborate with other health professionals to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care.
You will be a leader and a strong communicator whose compassionate nature, ability to work well under pressure and attention to detail define your professional experience. Expertise in caring for older people with dementia or at end-of-life will support your care. You will use these skills to lead the delivery of personalised care for our residents, coordinating with our dedicated team of nurses and support staff.
This is an ongoing full-time position although requests for job share opportunities or part time arrangements are welcome. You will be required to work flexible shifts within an 8:8:10 roster, including weekends and public holidays, to meet the needs of our residents. Your salary, including generous staff benefits, will be discussed during the interview process.
Then there are the benefits outside work. East Gippsland is filled with natural wonders including the Gippsland Lakes, the Ninety Mile Beach, fine dining, fresh produce, ancient gorges and rainforests, and a myriad of national parks. It's a haven for water sports, outdoor activities, foodie fare, the arts and Aboriginal culture, that's right on the Gippsland Lakes and just 90 minutes from the Mount Hotham ski fields.
We can't wait to meet you to discuss how you can help us to build an even greater environment for our residents in our award-winning Maddocks Gardens Aged Care facility. Let's talk soon.
