    About Public Transport Victoria (PTV)

    Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is a statutory authority that acts as a system authority for all public transport and an advocate for public transport users. We are a single contact point for customers wanting information on public transport services, fares, tickets and initiatives.     Your new role

    The Project Manager plays a key role in the successful delivery of bus infrastructure projects related to Network Service Changes as well as engaging with key stakeholders.  By supporting the Principal Project Manager and the wider team, the Project Manager is also responsible for contributing to successful project delivery which maximises value for money for the State.

    What you'll need to be successful

    Essential (must have to be considered for the position)

    • Excellent contract management skills in order to write and manage contracts/contractors for the successful delivery of bus infrastructure works within very tight time frame and allocated budget.
    • Good ability in reviewing of design plans with a strong understanding of how the Australian Standards and disability standards are applied.
    • Proven understanding of the delivery of public transport services, contractual arrangements and the role of PTV, Franchisees and other government agencies.
    • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills including the ability to influence decisions at management level both internally and externally.
    • Commercially astute with the ability to support and contribute positively to commercial negotiations with suppliers, franchisees and other stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated good written communication skills including preparation of project scopes, reports, briefs and correspondence on issues associated with delivery of infrastructure projects.
    • Proven understanding of complex organisational governance structures, reporting arrangements, and organisational protocols for reporting and briefings.



    • Tertiary qualification, or proven extensive experience, in engineering, project management, planning or related discipline.
