Manager, Museum Spaces

Museums Victoria is seeking a highly motivated commercial Manager to join the Museum Spaces team to strategically manage the trade and business use of Museums Victoria venues and key commercial partnerships.

  • Substantive experience negotiating and managing large catering or other major supplier agreements

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The primary accountability of this position is to optimise revenue and visitor experiences attributed to: the use of venues for consumer, trade and business venue hire, the negotiation and management of major contracts, and compliance to operating procedures.

Notable skills and experiences:

    1. High level knowledge and experience in developing strategic business plans, including experience in business modelling and analysis
    2. Substantial experience negotiating large catering or other major supplier agreements
    3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
    4. Substantial experience in the operational requirements of commercial venues
    5. Excellent management skills including the ability to motivate and lead a team and determine appropriate training  and skills development

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a full time; fixed-term position for twelve months. The salary on offer is $107,119 per annum, paid pro-rata plus 9.5% superannuation.
