Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking a Senior Web Developer with several years of recent ASP.NET MVC experience to redevelop Museum Victoria's websites.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Web Developer will be to redevelop the Museum's Victoria websites in our Umbraco Content management system.

Key duties include:

  1. Working to the Manager, Digital Platforms, lead development of Museums Victoria websites (including Immigration Museum, Scienceworks and Melbourne Museum).
  2. Integrate the website with external systems including ticketing, CRM and ecommerce systems.
  3. Scope, document, produce and deploy new digital products (apps, websites, web-based tools etc) using agreed methodologies and technical solutions in collaboration with content providers, developers and designers.
  4. Work as part of an Agile team, actively supporting its successful collaboration with stakeholders to test and iterate solutions for Museum Victoria's digital products.
  5. Actively participate in and support ICT strategic planning including planning and implementing projects commissioned under the auspices of the Digital Transformation Strategy including infrastructure, support services, hardware specifications and software configuration.

Key Selection Criteria:

The successful applicant will meet the following selection criteria:

  1. Extensive experience in developing end to end/full stack for web publishing technologies, using ASP.NET MVC, C#, HTML5, CSS, javascript and working knowledge of content management systems, preferably Umbraco.
  2. Hands on experience with integrating systems such as ticketing and CRM, retail into a website. Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 an advantage.
  3. Excellent analytical and conceptual skills within an online development team including planning and testing solutions.
  4. Excellent written and oral skills, with the ability to define user requirements, develop from prototypes and write technical documentation.
  5. Experience working in Agile methodology within a software development team, which supports peer-to-peer review and knowledge sharing.
  6. The successful applicant is required to undergo, and for new employees, meet the cost of, a National Police Records Check and be assessed as suitable.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a Full-time position, Fixed-term until 30 June 2025. The salary on offer is $91,418-103,725 (pro rata) + 11% superannuation.
