ABOUT THE POSITION:

The purpose of this position is grow and develop Museums Victoria's existing social media platforms and strategies to ensure continued expansion across our brands and growth of target audiences.  The role is accountable for strategy development and implementation, overarching management, monitoring, strategic scheduling and placement, administration, content delivery as it relates to all of Museums Victoria's umbrella brands across a variety of Social Media platforms.

Notable skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in developing and delivering innovative Social Media strategies.
  • A record of achievement in leading and implementing relevant original and high quality content.
  • A thorough understanding of the media environment and changing methods of communications.
  • An in-depth understanding of the cultural, arts, science and leisure sectors, including the ability to manage and communicate on sensitive subject matters.
  • Demonstrable ability to build strong online communities through various social media platforms.
  • Demonstrable experience in administering multiple accounts achieving growth and ROI.
  • Demonstrable experience using a social media monitoring tool such as Falcon or other.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a full time, fixed-term position until 30 June 2021. The salary on offer is $82,574 plus 9.5% superannuation.
