Inclusion Coordinator

Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking an Inclusion Coordinator at Museums Victoria.


Museums Victoria cares for the State scientific and cultural collections, providing visitor access, activities and events at five distinct venues:  Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, IMAX Cinema and world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.

The primary responsibility of the Inclusion Coordinator is to provide administration, coordination and operational support to Diversity & Inclusion at Museums Victoria. Its focus is to support the development and lead coordination of a new Paid Work Placements program and contribute to recruitment processes to enhance diversity, welcoming and inclusion across Museums Victoria's workforce.

Some of the key duties include: 

  • Under the guidance of the Manager, People, Talent & Performance coordinate the delivery of Museums Victoria's Paid Work Placements program
  • Provide administration for Museums Victoria's Diversity & Inclusion program including program scheduling, processing of payments, drafting documents and presentations, creating reports and information sharing
  • Support various program activities related to the Paid Placements program and other Museums Victoria opportunities including preparing job advertisements, participating in Interview panels and general activities such as attending career expos
  • Provide timely and accurate information on Museums Victoria's Diversity & Inclusion program including recruitment policies and processes

The successful applicant will have:

  • A working knowledge of workplace inclusion programs
  • An understanding of the principles of culturally safe workplaces
  • Demonstrated skills in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; and databases such as an HRIS, Learning Management System and/or Finance processing system
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, flexibly and efficiently in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to respond appropriately to sensitive matters


This is a Full Time, fixed term role to 30 June 2026. The salary on offer is $74,580 + 11.5% superannuation.
