ABOUT THE POSITION:
The purpose of the position is to facilitate learning programs and workshops to support the delivery of exceptional education and public programs - that meaningfully engage our diverse education and public audiences with the unique mission and vision of our Museums

Some of the key duties include: 

  • Use contemporary digital tools to support and deliver engaging educational experiences, including trouble shoot and device management 
  • Support and supervise new staff and volunteers with program and procedure familiarisation, including peer to peer learning, communication guidance and procedural training 
  • Set up, pack up and assist in maintaining materials and resources used in the delivery of programs, workshops and activities and initiates improvements as required. 
  • Collaborate on specific tasks associated with the operational administration and development of programs 
  • Provide feedback on audience response to programs, implement evaluation tools and participate in debriefs for audience evaluations and customer service purposes, as required. 


The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrable experience in the facilitation of programs, workshops or shows to diverse audiences, with the ability to respond to audience needs. 
  • Well-developed communication, presentation and problem-solving skills. 
  • Awareness of current education and learning techniques for diverse audiences, including needs of primary and secondary school audiences. 
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret science concepts for diverse audiences 
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision 


OTHER INFORMATION

This is a casual role. The salary on offer is $41.64 per hour (inclusive of loading) + 11.5% superannuation.
