About the role

The Administration Officer plays an important role coordinating a wide range of stakeholder engagement activities, including presentations and information products, and the organisation of stakeholder engagement forums, as required.  The role also involves providing high level administration management and support WorkSafe's Legislation, Policy and Information Services (LPIS) Division.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate aspects of stakeholder engagement and statutory consultation functions within the Division, and provide proactive support for the Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Manager and Advisor
  • Assist with developing, managing and maintaining effective internal and external stakeholder relationships throughout the life of any legislative reform projects
  • Administer a broad range of processes and procedures to support the convening of and involvement in stakeholder forums. This includes the development of briefing packs, making travel arrangements, organising catering and venues
  • Ensure consistency of materials presented to stakeholders
  • Coordinate information to stakeholders and follow up on issues arising from stakeholder engagement
  • Anticipate issues, identify opportunities and/or gaps, make recommendations and implement improvements to processes, systems and work practices

 

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating stakeholder engagement / management
  • Demonstrated expertise in high level administration and strong coordination and planning skills
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and strong formal communications skills – written and verbal
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An ability to work under extreme time pressure with changing priorities
