VAGO play a critical role in holding the public sector to account by reviewing how effectively agencies deliver services and use public funds. We positively affect the lives of Victorians by examining government entities' effectiveness, reporting on inefficiencies, and recommending how to improve future performance.


The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) deliver a key function in ensuring VAGO achieve our strategic objective of leading by example across the public sector.

About The Role

Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will support the OAG by delivering high quality governance advice and support to the Executive. In consultation with stakeholders, you will also:

  • Maintain and develop systems for non-financial monitoring
  • Support risk, project management, planning and compliance activities
  • Maintain corporate policy framework
  • Coordinate briefings for the Auditor-General and Deputy Auditor General

About You

We're looking for someone with a passion for corporate governance and the potential to identify improvements in systems and process.

You are able to demonstrate sound judgement in your work when managing challenging stakeholders and situations.

A high performer, you will have the ability to achieve significant outcomes with minimal oversight.

Your well-developed problem solving abilities paired with your strong communication skills will allow you to influence a range of stakeholders including end-point decision makers.

You will have sound experience using the Microsoft Suite of applications.
