Position Details

The Victorian Building Authority is seeking an experienced professional who will be responsible for conducting examinations and assessments of practitioners seeking plumbing accreditations, at either registration or licence level.  This person will also contribute to exam and assessment development and maintenance, and provide on-going advice to a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • demonstrated experience in the conduct, monitoring and evaluation of assessment practices and service delivery, either in the VET sector or industry;
  • minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is essential;
  • excellent organisational skills, including the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and self-manage within a deadline-driven environment;
  • demonstrated conceptual problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse information and make sound decisions;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present examination and assessment material, and clear, concise reports;
  • strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, and the ability to understand stakeholder requirements and develop innovative solutions; and
  • ability to work collaboratively and in a team to achieve goals, outputs and agreed deliverables within a customer-service focused environment.

Salary Details

A base salary in the Grade 5.1 range of $96,942 - $107,117 per annum, plus 9.5% super, will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on their skills and experience.
