Position Details

Are you a building inspector looking for a role with variety and the opportunity to work on landmark regulatory projects? Does the same old, same old not challenge you any more?

At the VBA things are moving, and the opportunity exists to be an industry leader by working within one of the most prominent national (and international) building projects ever undertaken.

Reporting through to the Team Leader, Inspection Services you will be tasked to undertake inspections, prepare technical reports for audit, complaint review and further investigation, and work with the Cladding Audit team on various compliance and review and rectification matters.  

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

• Qualifications in and registration as a Building Inspector/Surveyor or related
• Demonstrated experience applying all relevant building legislation, regulations and codes
• Experience within the Public Sector will be highly regarded (but not essential)
• Ability to make agile decisions in a timely and precise manner
• High level of written and verbal communication skills
• Current Drivers License essential (site inspections)
• Current working rights for Australia
