Position Details

The Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for the collection, monitoring and analysis of data relevant to plumbing audit. The Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for maintaining and developing the compliance and risk-based system for the plumbing industry throughout Victoria. The position responds to new and emerging issues in the plumbing industry and incorporates practitioner education and communication to improve the Victorian Building Authority's regulatory services.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • demonstrated experience in data, information management and statistical  analysis skills;
  • advanced knowledge in the compilation of reports with working knowledge of databases;
  • high level analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyse, prepare and present clear, concise and accurate information;
  • ability to identify information gaps and observe fine detail with a proven track record of achieving and implementing practical solutions that deliver considerable enhancement and business improvement;
  • well-developed analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to identify and analyse trends, and be aware of industry activity and translate this into clear, concise and accurate information and advice to stakeholders;
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision; and
  • excellent organisational and self-management skills with the ability to work within a deadline driven environment and to manage a workload with competing demands.

Salary Details

A base salary in the Grade 4 range of $84,019 - $95,329 per annum (plus 9.5% super) will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on their skills and experience.
