Position Details

The Victorian Building Authority is seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage the delivery of the knowledge and experience assessment of persons seeking plumbing registration or licence. This person will also support the VBA's administration of the scheme for the registration and licensing of building and plumbing practitioners.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • demonstrated experience within the VET sector (or similar), including monitoring and evaluating assessment practices and service delivery;
  • proven experience in managing and leading a team, including developing and maintaining a strong and positive team culture;
  • manage the implementation of change processes to improve the quality and effectiveness of the VBA's assessment process and practice;
  • strong stakeholder relationship skills with the ability to understand stakeholder requirements, develop innovative solutions to issues, and to negotiate strategic outcomes; and
  • highly developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise and consult across all levels.

Salary Details

A base salary in the Grade 5 range of $96,942 - $117,293 per annum (plus 9.5% super) will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on their skills and experience.
