Position Details

The Enquiries, Inspections and Complaints (EI&C) Support Officer is responsible for a range of functions including responding to a range of internal and external stakeholders, management of cases and processes, maintenance of accurate databases and provide support to the team to assist with the successful delivery of its objectives.

The role is responsible for the assessment of, termination of, and the appointment of building surveyors, directions to transfer building surveyors requests, referred building orders and directions to fix, and to provide support to Inspection Services where required.

 Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • experience in the provision of case management and other functions within a corporate environment.
  •  proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, with all aspects of record keeping, database management and with preparation of routine reports.
  • excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain legislation, policy and technical concepts to stakeholders using clear and concise language.
  •  problem solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, liaise with stakeholders, draw conclusions and implement solutions.
  • ability to proactively identify customer requirements and deliver high level of customer service within guidelines to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • excellent ability to organise, prioritise and proactively self-manage workloads in a deadline driven environment and exercise attention to detail.
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team- based environment to achieve outputs and agreed deliverables.

Salary Details

A base salary in the Grade 3 range of $67,866 to $75,136 per annum (plus 9.5% super), will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on skills and experience.
