Position Details

Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) is the leading Victorian Government Statutory Authority responsible for the safety and technical regulation of electricity, gas and pipelines for all Victorians. 

About the role:

This Receptionist position is fixed term until March 2019 and is responsible for presenting a positive first impression of callers and visitors at ESV's Corporate Head Office, located in Southbank Melbourne.  

This position is also responsible for offering administrative support and co-ordinating front-desk activities, including distributing incoming correspondence, managing outgoing mail and courier deliveries, answering and redirecting phone calls, stationary ordering and other duties as required. Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Proven experience in a professional Receptionist, Customer Service, Administration or similar role.
  • Proficiency with a range of office equipment, phone systems and computer programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with a diverse range of people both on the telephone and in person.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
  • Solid record keeping and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to use your initiative when issues arise.
  • Reliability and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
