Position Details
A fixed term opportunity exists to join Portfolio Communications Early Childhood Education as a Campaign Manager for 6 months.
Our Division
The Communications Division leads, shapes and supports communication of Victorian Government priorities for early childhood development, and school education. The Division is responsible for taking carriage of the Government's Education State vision by engaging with Victorians on education issues and services. The Division tells these stories through media relations, internal and external communications, branding, digital channels, public affairs and event management.
The Division is split into branches supported by an executive team:
- Public Communications Services
- Portfolio Communications
- Digital and Creative Services
About the Role
As a Campaign Manager, you'll lead the development and implementation of high profile, multi-million dollar integrated campaigns and communication strategies that promote the Best Start, Best Life reforms, with a focus on attracting, recruiting and retaining teachers and educators.
You will be responsible for implementation across all channels, including significant below-the-line communications. You'll work in collaboration with the broader early childhood portfolio team to tailor the campaign for priority audiences and drive new supporting initiatives such as events, partnerships, endorsers and public relations.
You'll work with policy teams on shaping communications solutions and be part of a fun, collaborative team environment
Key responsibilities include:
- working with various business areas across the Department to plan and execute communications, marketing campaigns and communications activities that deliver communications to early childhood education, schools, public and internal audiences.
- managing relationships with and between program and policy areas, and creating positive and respectful relationships
- providing expert advice in planning and delivering communications and marketing activities
- supporting the team to develop new and innovative ways to communicate across our channels
- supporting the strategic direction of the portfolio and the Communications Division by delivering key communications outcomes that support the Department and education
- work across the Communications Division to ensure communication strategies are implemented effectively
- project managing relationships with business areas, and external providers.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:
- Possess strong knowledge and expertise in managing campaigns
- Familiarity with Victorian Government advertising guidelines
- Relevant tertiary qualification Communications and Marketing
