Position Details

Physiotherapist Grade 1 (2 positions)

Full Time Fixed term

  • Two full time rotational positions available for experienced or new graduate physiotherapists
  • Opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of work areas
  • Friendly and supportive department with a strong focus on professional development

We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated grade one physiotherapists to work with our Physiotherapy team.  Two full time rotational positions are available, commencing in January 2018 for a two year fixed term.  The successful applicants will join a supportive and friendly physiotherapy team with a strong commitment to clinical excellence.  Each grade one is supported with regular mentoring from senior staff, and participation in our regular inservice program.  Professional development is actively supported.

Areas of work include:

-       Inpatient wards including orthopaedic and general surgery, maternity, paediatrics, general medicine and high dependency unit

-       Inpatient rehabilitation and transition care program

-       Community Rehabilitation Centre

-       Community outpatients

-       Women's health and Antenatal education

-       Emergency department and short stay unit

-       Aged Care 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a clinical load appropriate to level of experience              
  • Contributing to the day to day operation / functioning of the Physiotherapy department including participation in the weekend and public holiday roster
  • Demonstrating evidence based physiotherapy practice and contributing to a culture of evidence based practice within the department

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check  and Working with Children Check prior to appointment.
