Position Details

IT Platform Technology Lead

Information Technology (IT) – Operations

  • Shape and oversee the Hosting platforms and infrastructure that power our digital services
  • PoV Grade 6.1, $138,631 to $ 162,076 + 12% superannuation
  • Ongoing, full-time role

During a typical day you will:

  • Lead, coach and support the Platform Technology team, ensuring clear direction, development opportunities and a culture of service excellence for enterprise infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Oversee the operation of on-premises and cloud environments, including Datacentre facilities, storage, compute, hardware, and core systems to maintain reliable and resilient services.
  • Manage patching, firmware updates, backup and recovery processes, ensuring they meet agreed targets and compliance requirements.
  • Respond to complex or emerging operational issues, using data and industry insights to drive improvements and ensure timely resolution of escalations.
  • Ensure systems documentation and knowledge bases are accurate, up to date, and support seamless transitions of new projects into operational support.

You will be a great fit for this role if you: 

  • Are an experienced people leader who can develop high performing teams and role‑model organisational values.
  • Bring deep technical expertise across Microsoft, Azure, VMware, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Demonstrate experience with leading and supporting the migration of on‑premises technologies to Microsoft Azure and accountability for post‑migration operational support, stability, and optimisation.
  • Have extensive experience leading teams across Hardware (Storage, Converged Infrastructure, Compute) and Cloud SaaS, PaaS and IaaS environments.
  • Thrive in dynamic environments where you balance operational priorities, service continuity, emerging issues and innovation.
  • Communicate complex technical matters with clarity and confidence to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understand risk, incident and resource management, and are confident working within data security and privacy frameworks such as the VPDSF and Essential Eight.
