ROLE SUMMARY:

VICSES is looking for an organised, proactive and improvement-focused professional to join our Strategy, Performance and Risk team as a Projects and Planning Officer. This is more than an administration role. You'll be at the centre of our annual planning cycle, Project Management Office (PMO) operations, portfolio reporting and organisational improvement initiatives, helping ensure the right information gets to decision-makers at the right time. You'll thrive in this role if you have experience supporting projects or working within a PMO environment, enjoy working with stakeholders and providing practical, customer-focused support, love building structure, improving processes and solving operational problems. Must be highly organised and can confidently manage multiple priorities and deadlines, have strong Excel, reporting and analytical skills, take pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining exceptional attention to detail. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values curiosity, continuous improvement, innovation and professional growth.

WHO WE ARE:

Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service. Our highly skilled and equipped Volunteers are trained comprehensively in a wide range of emergency environments. To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities.  We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events. As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
