About the Role

Internally known as a Personal Financial Consultant, with a strong customer service focus, you will identify, investigate and manage all potential Testator Family Maintenance (TFM) and Superannuation claims for clients who have been appointed by VCAT and no longer have the capacity to manage their own affairs. These include Total Permanent Disability (TPD), income protection and Terminal illness superannuation claims.

You will also deliver training and provide support to help upskill internal stakeholders.

Duties

• Initiate, investigate, administer claims in accordance with legislative requirements, prescribed policies, work instructions and service standards
• Administer clients' financial interests proactively to ensure action items are followed-up
• Monitor and report on all finalised TPD claims
• Ensure all potential TFM claims are submitted for review before acting

Skills and Experience

• Experience in personal financial administration
• Ability to prepare commercial standard correspondence, reports and recommendations
• Well-developed professional communication skills
• An ability to understand and probate acts pertaining to individual states for TFM Claims
• Some knowledge and understanding of eligibility criteria of Superannuation Insurance claims
• Superior investigative skills and attention to detail
• Understanding and experience dealing with clients with a disability
• Basic computer literacy including competent use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to acquire knowledge of relevant legislation
• Willingness to learn to deliver technical based training as well as ongoing support/training to consultants/Team Leaders
