Public Relations Officer
4 Days per Week (0.6-0.8 FTE)

In this role, the Public Relations Officer will assist the Executive team and Board of Management to continue to attract support, funding and donations through planned and effective communication strategies. You'll assist in our day-to-day media and public relations activity, which includes writing media releases and opinion pieces, as well as engaging with our community and other stakeholders. With your high level of communication skills, you'll actively build strong and productive relationships,  identifying promotional opportunities and new areas for collaboration and patnership.

To apply for this role, you must have:

  • Qualifications in public relations, journalism or marketing
  • Experience in public relations or similar
  • A high level of interpersonal skills, including experience in public speaking, and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience in managing web-based content and social media
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems,  which may include graphic design software
  • Experience in the health industry would be desirable, but is not essential to the role.
