Position Details

About the role  

The Technical Assurance Lead role is the single point of contact for managing the technical governance interface with Train and Tram operators. The role oversees and facilitates assurance of the delivery of the technical works program in accordance with the contractual obligations.   

The role ensures a cohesive approach is considered for all technology investments made by the Operators under the maintenance and renewals program regime. The role facilitates the best possible outcome to manage the life-cycle of technology assets in collaboration with engineering and technical experts.

What we're looking for 


  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure planning and operations, design and deployment, as well as system life cycle management
  • Strong budget planning, financial management and resource management skills
  • Expert knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions and strategic application to business needs
  • Advanced knowledge of business operations and processes
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to improve operational efficiency and service delivery effectiveness across all lines of business and technology platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
    • In-depth experience of designing and implementing information solutions.
    • Hands-on experience implementing data and analytics management programs is preferred.
    • A minimum of five years of experience in IT, with at least two years in information system design. 


  • Three to five years' experience as a data analyst is highly desirable. 


  • Tertiary qualifications in IT Systems or related area.
