Position Details
Respect Victoria (RV) is a Statutory Authority under the Prevention of Family Violence Act 2018. We have a broad focus on the primary prevention of family violence and violence against women in Victoria, and collaboratively work with stakeholders to provide state-wide leadership to create social, institutional, organisational and community change. The role
Reporting to the Prevention Coordination Manager, this role will develop, implement and improve a stakeholder engagement plan. This plan is critical to the successful co-design, implementation and evaluation of the Ballarat Community Saturation Model. Working in the Saturation project team you'll be the key link between RV, the Ballarat community, family violence sector and partner organisations.
The Ballarat Saturation Model
The Victorian Government has announced a 4-year project to prevent violence against women in Ballarat. RV will work alongside the local community to design a model that will ‘saturate' Ballarat with initiatives and community action to address the drivers of men's violence against women and ultimately drive down rates of violence over time.
Key Accountabilities
- Work collaboratively to develop, continuously adapt and coordinate RV's stakeholder engagement plan to support the co-design, implementation and evaluation of the Ballarat Saturation Model
- Build and nurture strong and trusted relationships between RV, the Ballarat community the family violence prevention sector and government
- Support the establishment of governance arrangements that underpin the delivery of the Ballarat Community Saturation Model and engage stakeholders to ensure these are clear and impactful
- Identify opportunities to increase RV's influence and impact across the Ballarat region
- Develop and maintain a stakeholder database capturing key discussions and meetings
Key Selection criteria
- Alignment with RV and VPS values
- Partnering and Co-creation: Build/maintain partnerships and trusted relationships to achieve objectives; coach others on a co-creation process and build team commitment to it by demonstrating personal commitment; build trust in partnerships through outcome delivery; facilitate discussion and navigate different opinions to reach decisions
- Stakeholder Management: Identify common issues for stakeholders and build mutually beneficial partnerships; identify/respond to underlying stakeholder needs; use understanding of the stakeholder's context to ensure outcomes are achieved. Manage internal stakeholders and connect project teams, track relationship and discussions and share lessons learned
- Project Delivery: Use strategies, programs or projects to develop stakeholder engagement plans to enable achievement of outcomes; define governance required to manage risks and increase success
- Outcomes Thinking: Establish mechanisms to monitor impact of work on the community; ensure team operating & delivery model creates a positive impact on community
