Position Details

We are currently looking for a Senior Advisor, Fidelity Fund to join our Intervention & Enforcement team within the Investigations Division.

Reporting to the Manager, Intervention & Enforcement, the position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the claims process in respect of the Fidelity Fund, including managing claims investigations, reporting and the provision of legal advice for consideration by the Board/Delegate. Additionally, the role will monitor investigations being conducted by either staff internally or external appointed investigators to which fidelity fund investigations have been referred. The role is also responsible for the conduct of litigation when a claimant appeals the Board's determination of their claim to an appropriate Court.

The successful candidate will have experience in building strong client relationships by establishing and maintaining trusted and respectful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.  The position requires admission to practice as an Australian Legal Practitioner, as well as a high level of understanding of how to interpret and apply legislation relating to the operation of private legal practice, and the provisions relating to the regulation of lawyers and law practices in Victoria as well as experience conducting of litigation in Tribunals and/or Courts.
