Position Details

The Associate Judges Chambers is seeking a legally qualified individual with previous legal employment experience, to be the Chambers Senior Associate. This is a separate role to that of senior associate to individual judges, and is a unique shared judicial support role spanning across both Common Law and Commercial matters. The role will provide support to multiple chambers, with a key focus on legal research as well as proofing and editing judgments and orders. The successful candidate will also require excellent time management and organisational skills, be responsive and flexible and possess the ability to work in a team environment. This role is an excellent opportunity given the broad range of matters which come before the Associate Judges.

Duties include:

  • providing legal research assistance, proofing and editing judgments;
  • performing administrative tasks, including maintaining Court records and preparing material for use by the Judge in court;
  • clerking in court;
  • liaising with Court staff, the public and the profession;
  • document management

Position commences from late August for a period of 12 months.
