Position Details

The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria and comprises the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division. The Court deals with major criminal and civil matters, plus appeals against decisions of lower courts.

The Court is seeking a person with a strong background in litigation and the application of digital technology in a legal or court environment to play a key role in the delivery of the Court's Digital Strategy.  Key aspects of the role include the development and promotion of electronic filing, assisting with the management of electronic hearings and acting as a key contact point for parties and the Court.  Working predominantly in the Common Law Division, it is expected that this person will also work with other Divisions of the Court and other jurisdictions to identify opportunities for improvement in practice and procedure and develop capability to improve the efficacy of eLitigation and encourage this mode of hearing in the future.
