Position Details

 The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria dealing with the state's most serious criminal and civil cases and is comprised of the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division.  While most cases are heard in Melbourne, the Supreme Court is a court for all Victorian's that endeavours to hear matters in the region of origin where possible. 

The Supreme Court recognises that its people are integral to its ability to meet and exceed community expectations and to achieve its goal of being an outstanding superior court. 

The Multimedia Content Manager will be making a new high impact podcast series to deepen the community's understanding about Victoria's justice process and court system. The position works directly with the Communications and Public Affairs Director and will have a highly strategic, storytelling focus. The role will work closely with the Judiciary, Court staff and the central Communication Services team, as well as internal and external stakeholders. 

Key responsibilities of the role includes: 

  • Leading the development of a high quality audio podcast series, accompanied by short videos, to engage a wide range of audiences.
  • Uses specialist expertise to develop, script, produce and edit the podcast series for use across social and digital publishing platforms and evaluate the reach and effectiveness of the project.
  • Managing one staff member and developing digital content and work across other communication channels to provide creative, innovative solutions.

To be successful in the role, you will provide specialist leadership, guidance and advice to judicial and non-judicial staff on social communication practices. You will demonstrate sound judgment and a high degree of diplomacy and responsiveness when dealing Judicial officers and Court staff and develop good working relationships with other Courts and Tribunals, together with internal and external stakeholders.
